Small Cell Technology: The Future of 5G?
5G is the next evolution in high-speed wireless service. It utilizes a network of sophisticated technologies to deliver ultra-high transmission speeds and low-latency connections through high-frequency radio waves. Although 5G uses much of the current 4G network as a backbone, 5G will need new infrastructure to support the new spectrum to fully deliver on its technical promise. One proposed way of building the needed capacity is small cell technology. What is it and how can it expand the reach of 5G?
