On June 18th, Amplify Oshkosh hosted a summer Ideas Amplified event at Venue 404 in downtown Oshkosh. The event was full of fantastic networking, delicious food and beverages from The Roxy, and a great presentation from the Wave Robotics Team from the OASD. The Wave Robotics team gave a great presentation on their process of manufacturing, programing, and strategizing to compete at the World Championships. Wave Robotics began in 2008, with the goal of providing STEM opportunities to students through the FIRST Robotics program. As an organization, they aim to retain students in the local area as they enter employment. Since their establishment, Wave Robotics has expanded to offer K-12 programming in FIRST programs, camps, and different outreach and demonstration initiatives. There are over 150 students and 40 volunteers engaged in Wave Robotics program!Â
A special thank you to Fox Valley Technical College and Check Point Software Technologies for sponsoring the event as well as every Amplify member that came out for the evening! Don’t forget to register for our Summer Member Mixer coming up on August 15th at Waterfest! Registration and more information can be found on our event page.
