President

Rob Kleman is the President for the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce.  Previously, he was the Senior Vice President of Economic Development at the Chamber, leading all facets of its economic development program for the past 28 years. Rob served on the Board and Executive Committee of New North, Inc. from 2005 – 2011, the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board from 1998-2015, is a current Board member and Past President of the Wisconsin Economic Development Association (WEDA) and is a past  Chair of the Northeast Wisconsin Regional Economic Partnership (NEWREP).   He is certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional by the National Development Council (NDC).  Previously, Kleman was an Account Executive with Computerland- Fox River Valley and was also a Microcomputer Support Specialist for Fox Valley Technical College.

He is a 1987 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Marketing and MIS).  While at UW Oshkosh, he was a member of the UWO Marketing Club, volunteered for Reeve Union events, participated in intramural activities and is a past College of Business Alumni Board member. He is a past chair and current Board member of the UW Oshkosh League of Titans.

Rob is a founding member of the Waterfest Concerts Series Board of Directors, which has grown to become one of Wisconsin’s largest weekly summer concert venues.  He believes in giving back to the Oshkosh community through volunteer efforts and has served as Board Chair for Oshkosh Family, been a member of Oshkosh Southwest Rotary, volunteered for the Oshkosh YMCA and United Way, and is a founding member of the Junior Knights Basketball Club at Lourdes Academy.  He is currently a member of the UW Oshkosh League of Titans Athletic Board and is a past member of the Lourdes Academy Board of Education.

 

Rob resides in Oshkosh with his wife Lynn and has two children who have also recently graduated from UW-Oshkosh.
