Information Systems Lecturer

Kim Iversen is the founding Director for the Northeast Wisconsin Digital Alliance (formerly NEW IT Alliance), a position she has held since November, 2016. In that time, she has established the NEW Digital Alliance as the leading regional IT & Digital collaborative network focused on growing the digital talent pipeline and the digital ecosystem in the region.

In her role as director for the NEW Digital Alliance, Iversen works to coordinate the efforts across K-12 and Higher Ed to attract, retain, and develop students interested in joining the IT and digital workforce in the 18-county region of Northeast Wisconsin. During her tenure as director, she has established NEW Connect IT, which is the largest IT and digital job and career fair in Wisconsin. The event is designed to connect high school students, college students, and job seekers with employers and colleges. She has also established collaborative forums for higher education, established regular data collection on the state of the regional IT and digital pipeline, and collaborated with Microsoft TechSpark to establish a regional advisory board for K12 focused on expanding IT and digital education.

Prior to joining the NEW Digital Alliance, Iversen spent 13 years at Kimberly-Clark in various roles within the IT program management office, including an effort to resolve IT resource constraints globally within KC projects. Iversen was a founding member of Women in Technology Wisconsin, where until recently she also chaired the WIT4Girls committee, which is committed to introducing young women in 6-12th grade to the exciting opportunities in IT.

Iversen holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Oklahoma State University, along with a Master of Science in Molecular Biology and Human Genetics from Aarhus University, Denmark, and a Master of Science in Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

She resides in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, with her husband Jakob.
