David Blondheim, Jr. is an engineer with a blend of academic and hands-on manufacturing experience. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA, an M.S. in Industrial Engineering, and his Ph.D. in Systems Engineering, specializing in high-pressure die-casting data systems and machine learning applications. He has spent his entire career in manufacturing.

David joined Mercury Marine in 2013, focusing on improving manufacturing processes and implementing new technologies. In 2017, he led Mercury’s IIoT/Connected Operations initiatives, managing data collection and analysis from manufacturing equipment. Currently, he serves as Director of Global Operational Excellence and Advanced Manufacturing at Mercury, overseeing Continuous Improvement, Connected Operations, Operations Analytics, and Advanced Manufacturing groups.

David is passionate about Industry 4.0 technologies, focusing on data connectivity, collection, and advanced analysis through machine learning. He is committed to leveraging data to drive change and enhance manufacturing processes.
