Brett L. Scott serves as the director of Security Enablement and Training, Americas for Tech Data. In this role, he is responsible for accelerating the security expertise of their partners and building security solutions for the Tech Data partner ecosystem to deliver to their customers. Scott's current project is the Tech Data Cyber Range (TDCR), which is part of Tech Data's next-generation distributor strategy. Brett is the co-founder of the National Cyber Warfare Foundation (NCWF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization leading the country in teaching hands-on cybersecurity skills in a real-world environment.

He has worked as a developer, independent contractor, instructor, and currently the department chair for the IT educational department at Fox Valley Technical College. His interests today center around app and web services development. Joe is very passionate about security and has been attending hacking conferences for the last 20 years. Joe mentor’s students in the Ethical Hacking space, encouraging student involvement in the National Cyber League competitions.

Andy is an experienced information technology engineer with over 20 years of data security and infrastructure engineering experience. As a Data Security Engineer at J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc., he provides expertise and support for the planning, designing and implementation of security controls which safeguard and monitor events for information systems, enterprise applications and data. Andy is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).

Lucas Simonson currently works as a Security & Communications Specialist at the Oshkosh Area School District. Luke's main priorities have been securing end user data through training and education while also implementing Cybersecurity best practices. He has also led district technology staff in designing and creating the district's first Cybersecurity Response Plan.

Panelist: Jay Schaefer, Cyber Security Architect, Winnebago County
Jay is the Cyber Security Architect for Winnebago County.  Jay started working for Winnebago County as a 2nd shift computer operator while attending the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh  in 1992 and received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 1996.  Jay implemented most of the new technologies that replaced the old mainframes and Novell NetWare servers including Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange, Cisco routing/switching/firewalls,  VMware and Citrix and in 2018 made the switch from Network Administrator to a new security focused position that has become a necessity in today’s world for any business.  He received his certification as a Certified Ethical Hacker after becoming a member of the Cyber Response Team for the State of Wisconsin helping out SLTT entities at several incident response calls in the past few years.

Dr. David Gundlach currently serves as the Deputy Superintendent for the Oshkosh Area School District. In addition to his Deputy Superintendent duties, he is responsible for all district technology systems and services. He assists learning organizations in developing strategic plans to align standards, curriculum, instruction, assessment, and feedback systems to improve student learning.

I have 25+ years of experience in IT leadership.  Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of serving as Lead Network Architect at Navitus Health Solutions, Supervisor of Enterprise Network Services at Aurora Health Care, and Director of Data Communications with Midwest Airlines. I am proud to say that I am a proponent and advocate of leading through servant leadership and developing and fostering a servant leadership culture throughout my career. In my current roles at Sadoff Iron and Metal, I serve as Chief Technology Officer and the Director of Electronics Recycling and Data Destruction.   As Chief Technology Officer, I am charged with the creation and implementation of the Strategic IT initiatives that align with the Sadoff core principles.  As the Director E-Recycling and Data Destruction my role is to develop and lead the growth the division through the education our customers on the needs of IT suitability and Data Security as it relates to the end of life for IT assets. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with wife of 25years and my son who is currently attending UWO majoring IT, I also enjoy serving as a committee member of our local Scout Troop, and take pride in representing the people of the Algoma sanitary district as their elected President.

Todd manages the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Practice at Heartland Business Systems. His team provides expertise and solutions in the areas of Information and Cyber Security, Risk Management, Compliance, and Business Continuity. He is a certified Business Resiliency Auditor and Project Management Professional. During his 30+ year career, Todd has been a business owner of a web development and analytics company, head of operations for a defense contractor, and VP of an information technology company. He was also a Military Officer, serving 10 years in the Army as a Nuclear Weapons Technician and Airborne Ranger. Prior to leading the GRC Practice, Todd was the Director of Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM) and also was the Project Management Office (PMO) Manager at Heartland. He has served customers extensively in the manufacturing, IT, health, education, defense, and publishing industries.  Todd excels at building and leading technical teams, developing strategic visions, and executing operational excellence while fostering growth.

Jeremiah is a District Manager of Managed IT for Impact Networking.  He’s the previous owner of a successful Green Bay-based MSP that partnered with Impact in 2021.  In his previous role as CEO of Innova Technologies, Jeremiah ensured the delivery of digital transformations that reduced risk and drove value for his clients.  He brings 18 years of experience to Impact to continue on delivering that same value to the Northeast Wisconsin region. 
As a trusted advisor and partner, Jeremiah considers the clients’ goals to create solutions that align their business and IT needs. He is adept at finding creative solutions to the most challenging IT problems. To help meet this expectation, Tom works with clients to increase the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of their information assets. Byron Franz is a Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and has worked national security matters for over 23 years.  He currently serves on FBI Milwaukee’s Cyber Squad, where one of his responsibilities is to raise awareness of cyber and insider threats to business, academia, and state/local governments.  He is FBI-certified to conduct cyber investigations and rated as proficient to work counterintelligence investigations by the U.S. Intelligence Community.  He holds a B.A. in Russian and a law degree, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
